All I can suggest Andy is that if you get sighted assistance to get at the destructions that came with it, they might tell you what the sequence is. Unless of course you have a go at scanning the manual? (smile.)

Very frustrating, I feel for you.

it is a printer as well, and I neverr get any message telling me there is
anything to print. Still puzzled! -

| Hi Andy
|
| If I press the button I've assigned to the copy utility on my Epson, I
hear
| the scanning head swipe once, then do a second swipe which I think is
| slower. After that, with my printer switched on, it runs off an exact
copy
| of the document I have lying on my scanner. I'm not aware of any backup
| being put in a folder. To tell you the truth, I've never thought of
| looking.
|
| I think all-in-ones are slower than scanner only models from what I've
| heard, but I appreciate they have come a long way.
|
| Is yours a printer too? If it is, then I would have thought that if it
was
| copying, you would be presented with a printout after the second scan.
|
| Not being helpful am I? (smile.)
