hi, i'd guess though that the range manufacturers claim their products will
work too, is the distance they pretty much guarantee it to work. that's not
to say that given the right environment, it won't work further away. or
conversely, that it won't work as far away as it is claimed it will. our
previous house was a prime example of stuff not working. we tried one of
those wireless front door bells. it barely worked because our front door had
a metal sheet built into it which was quite effective at blocking the
signal. in our current house we can take our cordless phone into uor
neighbours house and it works fine!
