Not quite. You can have a 64 bit ready machine, with a 32 bit op system, and run 32 bit applications. However, if you have a 64 bit operating system, you will need to use 64 bit JAWS. You can install a 32bit os on 64bit hardware but not run the 32bit jaws when you have a 64bit widnows installed. hth Doris At 04:02 AM 5/16/2011, you wrote:
Hi all. If you have the JAWS DVD, it will detect the platform and
automatically
install the appropriate version for you. If not, then you will have
to
download the version of JAWS according to your platform. So in this case Janet, you will either need to simply insert the DVD or download
the 64 bit version of JAWS 12. No 32 bit version of JAWS will work on
a
64 bit operating system. Take care. Chris Hallsworth On 16/05/2011 05:48, Janet Tuggey wrote:Hi all, would it be OK to put a 32bit version of JAWS on a laptop running a 64bit version of Windows 7? I'm guessing it would be but just want to check before I install it. It is JAWS 12.
