There are 32 bit and 64 bit versions, and it depends on your hardware. You can run 32 bit Windows on a 64 bit machine, but not the other way round. Essentially 64 bit hardware is faster since it (theoretically) can handle twice the amount of data in the same time period though the CPU. George.
