Austin Regarding your first question, you don't need to purchase a separate speech program for the iPod, VoiceOver comes built into the device and only needs to be turned on through iTunes or manually. Secondly, it is up to you whether you decide to go down the touch screen route, but the iPhone is accessible as, again, it has the same VoiceOver program built into it. In other words, there is nothing else to purchase for it or the iPod to make them speak. If you are not sure, my advice is to visit an Apple store where they can show you the iPhone.
