I've always been able to just do a "killall 3ddeskd" and then hit my
hotkey that runs "3ddesk", and all the changes I've made always showed
up..
The only real difference you should see with the lower texturesizes, is
a fuzzier picture when you're zooming out.. When you're zoomed all the
out the way it'd probably look the same still.. Just when you're in
closer things should be fuzzier.
