I should start by giving props to the authors of this tool. I been looking for something like this since last year when I came across libGGI and their cube3d script to render your shells/desktops to a cube, unfortunately I am not an adpet programmer. Anyway 3ddesktop compiles fine and when I run 3ddeskd with --acquire it reports: width 800 x 600 XF86VidModeExtension-Version 2.1 Got Doublebuffered Visual! glX-Version 1.2 create context Resolution 800x600 Depth 16 Congrats, you have Direct Rendering! Current area = 1 Then I run 3ddesk and all my desktops are white(blank). I tried installing the imlib loaders for different image formats, but no luck. My system is as follows: 3dfx voodoo3 3500 redhat 7.2 semi-stock XFree86-4.2.0 current dri Glide3-20010520-13 Glide3-devel-20010520-13 imlib2-1.0.6-1 imlib2-devel-1.0.6-1 imlib2-loader for all supported image fromats enlightenment-0.16.5-1 gnome that shipped w/ redhat 7.2 I should also add that without DRI enabled 3ddesk will capture the screen, but it takes forever to go from desktop to cube (3d rendering, without DRI I assume)but all the desktop captures are there. What can I do to get it working? thanks Andy
