Well, I do have gnome and sawfish, and i've gotten 3ddesktop to work
(kick ass by the way!).
I cant seem to get it to work in Window Maker though. Here is what i've
tried, and the responses i get:
-- try #1 -->
[user@host]$ 3ddeskd --workspaces --acquire
get property WIN_WORKSPACE failed - setting one
get property WIN_WORKSPACE_COUNT failed - setting one
You only have 1 virtual desktop(s)! Need at least 2 to switch between
them...
<-----
-- try #2 -->
[user@host]$ 3ddeskd --workspaces --acquire --sawfish
error--> (error "can't connect to sawfish on display" ":0.0")
error--> (error "can't connect to sawfish on display" ":0.0")
================================================================
3ddesktop will be acquiring images in one moment. Please wait...

Daemon started. Run 3ddesk to activate.
<----
Now, once the daemon is started i can run 3ddesk, i get 13 workspaces to
chose from, all my current desktop (of course). Then the daemon dies
and i'm back to square one.
Also, i'm quite aware that the --sawfish isnt meant for window maker,
but i thought it was weird that it would only run with that switch, or
more that it WOULD run with that switch.
So, i'm stuck. I was hoping that there was a "workable" meathod for
window maker, without having to do additional coding, but you be the
judge of that.
Anyway, thanx for listening.
