Both from rpm.. Both gave me the libGLcore.so.1 error, so I used
--nodeps.

nvidia gforce 2 mx-200 at work. gforce 2 mx-400 at home. both systems do
the same thing.

Will do.. I'll have to collect a few header files first, but I'll try to
do that right now.

Eh.. well, I'll try a compile anyway and see what happens.

Well, it only does it now (AFAIK) when I'm using the --workspaces
switch. I'll try the --win real quick though.
Aha.. cool switch.. didn't even know it existed. OK, it behaves just the
same using the --win switch, but with much fewer negative consequences.
If I don't use --workspaces, then it works just fine. If I do, then it
locks up, but I can just click outside of that window, and type killall
3ddeskd, and I'm back up and running.
I'll try hunting up some headers, and trying a compile on my box. Could be
some screwy library.

Nothing is as simple as it seems at first
Or as hopeless as it seems in the middle
Or as finished as it seems in the end
