[3ddesktop-dev] Re: System freezes


Gee that's not good at all!  :(

Can you look in /var/log/messages and see if there are any lines
with "xgrabkeyboard" or "xgrabpointer" in there.

Also make sure your opengl is operating correctly.  I usually do 
this by running some of the xscreensaver opengl hacks.  Usually 
in /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/  Try "flipscreen3d", "lament", 
"morph3d" etc.

Are you running 3ddeskd with any arguments?

Try running with "-v" argument and let me know what messages
come out before it hangs.

Also if you can get it to happen when doing something like the 
following, send me the log (might make a big file though).

   "strace 3ddeskd -v &> /tmp/3ddeskd.log"

About how often does it happen?
