maybe the problem do you have is "no accel 3d in you video card"
check with this command  " glxinfo" open a termilar
and check if say 3d enabling in the case say no you need install the driver
to video card
but in case say yes the problem is the open gl libraryes.

Hello,

I'm having some problems when starting the 3ddeskd daemon.

I've installed 3ddesktop with apt-get in a Dell Inspiron 6000 with the
Intel i810 video card.

The operating system is Debian and the X server is XORG running at
1280x800.

The error screen showing up simply says "Cannot Open Display".

Has this happened to you before?
