I'm running with an nvidia as well on a Dell D800 laptop. If I'm running in 1920x1200 it freezes up like you describe. It works well on lower resolutions for me (like 1600x1200 or 1280x1024). If you're at a high resolution, try it on a lower resolution.

I just assumed it had to do with resources for me. Not enough memory on my graphics card maybe?
