hello
I was "easily" able to compile it under my SuSE 8.1 Desktop PC but on my
Inspiron (ATI 7000 with "standard" SuSE 8.1 driver)) it keeps crashing. I
start the demon with '3ddesk --wm=kde3 --acquire=700'. When starting the
application 3ddesk under root I get the following:
noti:/usr/local/bin # KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = 3ddeskd path = <unknown> pid = 1486
Unable to start dr. konqi
Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
kdeinit: Fatal IO error: client killed
kdeinit: sending SIGHUP to children.
kdeinit: sending SIGTERM to children.
kdeinit: Exit.
sh: line 1: dcopserver_shutdown: command not found
When starting 3ddesk as user the KDE Crash handler shows the following:

I suspect issues with the ATI drivers (but my Linux knowledge is not that
big).
Thanx for any Help
Chris
