Hello 3ddesktop-Users,
I'm using the prg after quite some time, and am not satisfied with what
I'm getting.
Necessarily, that must not be the prgs fault, it also could be some
system specifics.
I'm running OpenSUSE 10.2 version 2.6.18.8-0.3-default and using
3ddesktop in
KDE 3.5.5 rel. 45-4.
I've compiled 3ddesktop from source, version 0.2.9, which should be the
latest,
without problem, and its running without major problems, but the
performance is
limping. That makes me wonder, because I've used 3ddesktops on older
computers
with older NVIDIA cards without such problems.
To give a little description of the performance, it is all well, but
every second or
third animation comes with a little pause placed randomly in the
sequence, so
it really spoils the fun, if you had already used desktop-3d without
such a nuisance.
Can anybody think about an optimation, maybe a compiler option or a line
in the
3ddesktop-conf file, which could probably make things better for me? Thanks
for hearing from you, anyway.
Greetings,
Andreas Sigg
3ddesktop-0.2.9
