Do you have the "flipscreen3d" screensaver installed? That one does a
capture of the screen, and puts it onto a GL plane just like 3ddesktop
does.. I think it actually may have been what he started with when he
wrote 3ddesktop..
Does flipscreen3d work with the advanced -> grab desktop image option
turned on?
If it doesn't, then I would suspect that there's something funky with
imlib2 or something else relating to the grab of the desktop.. If it
does, then I think I'm clueless and you'll have to find someone smarter
to figure this one out.. ;)
