Bryan,

I tried workspaces and with WindowMaker (under GNOME) and 
couldn't get the problem to happen.  My WindowMaker version was 
0.65.1 though.

How many workspaces do you have?

Can you run 3ddeskd with the '-v' flag, reproduce the problem
and send me the output?
