This April 2003 article discusses the "empathising-systemising
(E-S) theory," which posits that "the female brain is
predominantly hard-wired for empathy, and that the male brain is
predominantly hard-wired for understanding and building systems."
Includes a short bibliography and an interactive tests that
claim to gauge "how male or female is your brain?" From the
Guardian Unlimited, the online companion to the British newspaper
The Guardian.
