[1stPickPCHelp] WORD 2000 templates

I can't seem to figure out templates.  I want to set up the formatting for a
page and then save that as a template so the following pages will all have the
same formatting.  I format the page the way I want it, then save it as a
template.  However, when I try to type the information I want on it, and save it
as a document, it always only allows for saving as another template.  Am I
understanding the purpose of templates wrong, or what am I doing wrong?
