Alarm++ 8.0.6

This is a minor release of Alarm++ with some fixes.

Removed choice for sending e-mail via Outlook. If you currently have this
option selected, it will still function, but Alarm++ will recommend you
switch to using an SMTP server. Outlook support will be removed completely
in a future version.

Clearer error message for when the alarm file passed on the command line
doesn't exist.

Attempt to save the alarm file again in the unusual event of a file system
problem. If the second attempt doesn't work, Alarm++ will recommend that you
save the file elsewhere (using File > Save As).

Removed Select Full Row option. It's now off, like Windows Explorer.

Removed event window On Top option. Event windows are now always displayed
on top of other windows.

Removed event window Display on taskbar option. Event windows are now never
displayed on the taskbar.

The installer now associates the .alarm file type with Alarm++ because
Alarm++ does not run with administrative rights on Windows 7.

More features and fixes

Alarm++ 8.0

Registered customers of Alarm++ 8.0 do not need new registration
information.

Alarm++ 7 or 6

If you've registered Alarm++ 6 or 7, you're entitled to a free upgrade. Go
to the Registration <http://www.12noon.com/registration.htm>  Management
page on 12noon.com to request your registration upgrade. Your new
registration will be mailed to you right away.

When Alarm++ opens your existing .alm file, it will automatically convert it
to the new .alarm format. It will also rename your .alm file to .alm.old.

If you have an Alarm++ shortcut that specifically opens your .alm file, you
will need to modify it to open the new .alarm file. For example, your
shortcut might be like this:

"C:\Program Files\12noon Alarm++\Alarm.exe" "C:\Users\GUEST\My
Documents\MyAlarms.alm"

That will need to be changed to something like this:

"C:\Program Files\12noon Alarm++\Alarm.exe" "C:\Users\GUEST\My
Documents\MyAlarms.alarm"

Or you can modify the shortcut not to pass anything to alarm.exe and use the
Open the most recent alarm file at startup option instead.

"C:\Program Files\12noon Alarm++\Alarm.exe"
