A mailing list to contact those concerned with and share/get information on the issue of tin whiskering in electronics since the EU banned lead as a solderable finish/soldering compound. This is a very concerning issue affecting the whole electronics industry as a result of changing to lead free soldering. The list would be used as an information interchange at the highest levels since the reliability issues caused by this phenomenon are being reported by and researched by organisations such as NASA, USAF, Nuclear power installations, space programs, airborn electronics both military and commercial, and the whole telecomms industry through organisations such as IPC, CALCE, JEDEC and INEMI as well as IEEE and other professional and academic bodies
