This is a private list which provides support to subscribers of the public list Bristol-Birds. Its purpose is to further interpret more complex aspects of the Bristol-Birds list by providing beginners and novic birders the opportunity to learn basic tools and skills used in the science of montioring avian populations and studying distribution and species range extentions in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. This list list provides detailed directions to specific field locations. It provides a regular source of science-based tutorial instruction for field identification methods.
