You may notice a couple of things about your list: 1) In the Web Login, there's no method of changing things like your list's description and what "type" of list it is according to the webpages, and 2) In the FreeLists Portal, things are said about your list that are represented nowhere in the Web Login.

Why is that? Well, on the Login page, you may have noticed two different logins: the Web Login is for configuring your list, and the Portal Administrator is for configuring your lists' Portal Settings. This is something every FreeLists administrator should know about, since there are a lot of options available there.
