We are a group of one physicist and some doctor practising the Yoga meditation called Sahaja Yoga. We are trying to measure the effects of meditation on the phisical body, as well as on mental and emotional state of subjects. We will use the list to better understand what kind of measure instruments (electroencephalograph, electrocardiograph, resonance detector, ...), statistical instruments or informatic instruments (hardware and software) are more appropriate for our purpose and how to use them better. |

philoSOPHIA: a feminist society listserv philoSOPHIA: a feminist society is a philosophical society devoted to the development of feminist research that draws upon and is inspired by the continental tradition in philosophy. We've recently launched our website (philosophia-afs.org) and we're attempting to demonstrate the importance of using the Internet as a source of communication and information exchange. To facilitate this, we have developed online forums, an online abstract submission for our yearly conference, and an online feedback form. The listserv will facilitate online discussion (with links to the forums and to pertinent online news articles) as well as a method for disseminating our research and our newsletter. |

UCSD Operation Diabetes 2007-2008 American Pharmacist Association - UCSD Operation Diabetes 2007-2008 A group of student pharmacists/grad students at UCSD dedicated to spread awareness of diabetes to the public by volunteering time and energy to host public health fairs, public screenings, open consultation events, etc to the San Diego community in order to educate patients on the additional health risks and diminishing effects on their quality of life associated with the disease . We provide tips on preventive measures/lifestyle changes patients could make to avoid this fate. In addition, we provide free, imeediately screenings in our free healthfairs, especially blood-glucose testing and submit articles to publicate our events in various UCSD newsletters. |

Hereditary Inclusion Body Myopathy (HIBM) or Distal Myopathy with Rimmed Vacuoles (DMRV) is a young adult onset muscle wasting disease. It is a very rare disease that affects possibly <1000 people worldwide. This email list is for discussion amongst patient support group (e.g. ARM) board members regarding expediting availability of funds for meritorious research towards development of therapy. |
