IEEE @ Wentworth - Administrative List This is the admin mailing list for the IEEE student branch at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. The Wentworth IEEE is a student-run group devoted to personal development and project-based experience. Our main focus is in providing a creative, nurturing, and innovative environment for other students to enjoy their time outside of class, while still supplementing their engineering studies. Discussions on this list are focused on the administrative aspect of the group, specifically: -tasks and duties of group officers -progress updates -constructive debates/group development -new ideas -finances -and all of that other boring stuff :D For more information regarding the IEEE, please visit: www.ieee.org |

The theme is social dynamics and social growth. The goal is to change the world towards sustainability, hence the name.It is related with technology, because it will focus on the equilibrium beteween technology, population and the environment. It will have to do with technology as studying some complex issues will require technological tools, such as computers running models. It will also have to do with technology by serving as an example of technology (mailing lists, blogs, webpage) bringing people from different countries together on a "virtual debate". The idea is to put together young thinkers woried with the future discussing possibilities in brainstorming fashion. The discussion is to be supported by a blog (at http://farfetching.blogspot.com). I have a specific group of friends from all over the world in mind. |

Thanks for taking time to read this. I Andrew Martin |
