REN LiBra

REN - in Dutch Regionale Expertise Netwerken - is a non profit organisation which, in close collaboration with universities and high schools organise courses and in service trainings for teachers in K1 - K12 education. The subject of the courses is the use of ICT (new technologies) in the class and in the work of the teacher. Courses vary from 'building a school site with flash animations and dreamweaver" to "Using powerpoint for classroom presentations" or "An electronic class book". We'd like to use the mailing list to inform - once a month) schools and teachers about the courses we programmed.

The Coalition for Earth System Education represents individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting education in Earth system science at the national and state levels. Focusing on Earth as a system involves implementing a systems-approach and using visualizations and data, inquiry-based instruction, and new technologies to explore and study the planet on which we live.
