		The mailinglist accompanies a seminar at the technical university of Vienna (TU Wien) as a part of computer science education; it's purpose is to discuss, draft and organize a technical/cryptographical review and benchmark paper on the encryption methods of Server/Client-Communication of SAP, a business-related program mainly used in Europe. It will evaluate all possible crytographical methods provided by SAP and third parties, the implementation thereof, system integration and performance of said methods and a cost-benefit-analysis of each.

		A listserv designed for people who are just getting involved in the wide world of computer-assisted reporting. The listserv is designed as a place to pose questions about Excel, Access, geographic information systems, social network analysis, regression analysis, and the myriad of ways you can get it all online. List members are current and former folks who used to work at the National Institute of Computer-Assisted Reporting, and have now moved on to bigger, though not necessarily better (though definitely better paying) things.

		hierarchical database with HTML Frontend (semester project at Furtwangen University)
		This List is for a Semester Project at Furtwangen University (http://www.hs-furtwangen.de/english/index_en.html). The goal of the project will be to connect the webpage of a sublier of database trainings (IMS-Society: http://www.ims-society.org/), with a hierarchical database. As the already existing webpage is based on PHP and a relational database, we first need to restructure the relational datamodell into a hierarchical one. Then we have to create the HTML pages and PHP Code so that the customer can have access to the hierarchical database. Finally the customer will be able to view informations about database trainings and register for database trainings.

		mailing list for hpi students who work on the concepts of programming semester project. the project is choosen by the students. upto 15 studends work in a team. the profs gives only advices. after 6Month every student get a grad. this is a project of the university of potsdam - hasso platner institute ( www.hpi.uni-potsdam.de ). our group will develope a masive multiplayer online game ( client/server based ) of industrial strenght. This list is needed to make communication between teammembers easier and because the Uni Outlook Exchange Server is currently out of work.
