Cherub List |
| Open list for those interested in Cherub sailing, building, designing and thinking. A Cherub is a class of sailing boat. Designing and building a sailing boat from modern materials in your garage requires skills in the use of Computer Aided Design, hydrostatics, structural engineering in composites, metals and textiles, and hydrodynamics. This list facilitates the exchange of expertise in all of these fields when related specifically to the design, construction and sailing of small high performance sailing boats.
We specifically provide specialist help for users of many software packages including MacSurf, Rhino and Hullform. We also have some open source utilities written by members of our community for making aerofoil sections with particular properties etc - and these are supported by the list too. |
