The world votes |
| The theworldvotes mailing list will be used in combination with the theworldvotes.org platform. The main purposes of this platform and mailing list will be twofold: 1) let the world vote during the US presidential elections in 2004 and 2) host a debate about e-voting and e-democracy. This last topic will focus on privavy issues, security issues and transparancy issues regarding e-voting on a global scale. Therefore, various e-voting methods will be assessed and our thesis that e-voting engines should be made using open source software will be discussed.
This whole inititiave is started without funding, relying on a small group of volunteers, hence our request to freelists.org. |
