Z88DK è pronto nella nuova versione, 1.8
Ora con la giusta calma, la componente italiana del team penserà alla versione
auto-installante ;o)
La funzione a mio avviso più spettacolare di questa versione è il supporto
dell'alta risoluzione per lo ZX81: 256 punti x 192 come sullo Spectrum (ma
senza i colori) e 256 x 64 come sul Cambridge Z88. In quest'ultimo caso la CPU
avrà più tempo a disposizione che in modalità SLOW standard !!
Per l'alta risoluzione è necessaria una modifica hardware. Ne esistono varie
varianti (mi pare se ne parli anche nelle scansioni di E2K fatte recentemente
da Cerelli), ma quella più semplice prevede l'inserimento di un paio di diodi
nell'espansione da 16K.
