Yes, it's almost like the title should be "web scapegoat" -
now that's a title with some truth in it! In fact you know
that you've done your job as a scapegoat when you get fired
when it's not your fault. In the scapegoat resume you would
want to not just highlight being fired, but who benefited
from your sacking. I would imagine a line like "saved job
of worthless VP of so and so who didn't know anything about
technology except that it could ruin a good career."
We should trendy write a book on this and the next thing
you know every damn lazy programmer will want their own
scapegoat! Imagine the refreshing honesting of going to
the kickoff meeting and the team scapegoat starts things
off by saying "I just want you know I'm here to take all
the blame - so you can start ignoring this fancy perk chart
right now and go back to playing with Friendster all day".
Baaaaa! Baaaaaa! Baaaaaa!
