You can accomplish it using predecessors. Say you have the following the #s
are MSProj line numbers):
65 Deliver Comps
66 Client Review
67 Revisions
68 Begin Next Deliverable
Set the predecessor on line 67 to "66" (Review depends on completed
revisions) and line 68 to "66,67" (beginning the next deliverable depends on
the client review *and* revisions). This setup makes both tasks dependent on
the client review, and the two tasks would have the same start date.
If you don't have revisions you can 'skip' the task by marking it complete
w/zero hours. If you do have revisions, MSP will track so that 68
(theoretically) won't begin until revisions are complete.

is there a way to mark a task as option? for example if you have a task
regarding visual design and then you have a client review/approval task then
you account for revisions but these are not mandatory based on if the client
has changes or they just approve it.
