[webproducers] Re: Producer rates at Startups

I'm actually NOT talking about technical project managers, really. Meaning,
these are not IT or Programming experts. These are folks running all manner of
interactive web marketing initiatives for large, blue-chip clients. This would
range from running site development or redesign of a corporate website (think
big brands, like Burger King or Sears or Lands End) to running annualized
online advertising programs (i.e., all programs from ads to emails to viral to
sitelettes) to running large-scale email and CRM programs for these clients.
There is development and technology involved in all of this, but at least in
our shop, we have technical leads who have the core responsibility for seeing
that through, under the supervision of the PM.
I think a lot of the interactive agencies have this structure like Organic,
Razorfish, Critical Mass, Digitas, Arc, etc. We are in that category.
