The Producer is the person responsible for the direct, hands-on leadership
and quality execution of all activities during an engagement. The Producer
is responsible for the deliverables and the teams that produce them,
ensuring that the client's objectives and ROKKAN's goals on the engagement
are met. He or she will lead the development of the project approach and
plan and then will be responsible for delivering the project on time, within
budget, and to ROKKAN's high quality standards. The Producer is focused on
the day-to-day activities of the team, coordinating the team's efforts
towards a successful delivery of the client's engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Chief client contact for all project-level communications
- Integrate user, business and technology recommendations into a coherent
vision for the site which addresses both immediate client need, situational
constraints, and potential for ongoing work
- Preparation and delivery of integrated budget, schedule, and development
plan for entire development effort; responsible for definition,
articulation, and coordination of all deliverables
- Identify resource needs and work with individual track leads to staff
project appropriately
- Solicit input of internal leads and client contacts in defining project
procedures and metrics: status reporting procedure; change control
procedure; issue escalation procedure; risk management plan; project success
criteria
- Responsible for authoring and obtaining client sign-off on all contractual
documents (SOW, Change Orders, etc.)
- Determine appropriate structure for project extranet and populate with
core project-level documents
- Effectively manage client expectations and engage in forward-looking
project planning
- Coordinate all development and ensure continuity of project vision and
development plan
Required Experience:
Project Management:
- Minimum 3-5 years project management experience in a client-service
environment
- Proficiency in formal project management methods, including internal
documentation and external communications
- Demonstrated ability to accurately project timing and associated costs
across a range of project type, scale, and complexity
- Experience-honed approach to risk aversion, risk management, and change
control
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the principles of internet consulting, user experience,
technology and business development
- Exceptional written skills including ability to author client
communications, Statements of Work, and proposals
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
