IBM.com has 7 positions to fill (yes, 7!): 3 IA's, 2 designers, and 2
PM's. All positions are currently in midtown but are moving to White=20
Plains in November.
Please read the following carefully, and if it truly resonates

I don't have all the details on the designer and project manager
positions. Designers will work within very strict corporate design
standards and help extend and refine those standards. Project managers
would be working in a very large, somewhat flat, consensus building,
matrix organization. Please note that these are NOT entry level
positions. There=92s no specific experience requirement, but I would
estimate that folks here in similar positions have at least 5 =96 7 =
years
experience.
***Details on the Information Architecture roles***
Areas of Experience (expertise in one or more of the following
required):
- large-scale portal technologies (such as WebSphere Portal Server) and
portal services (such as SAP)
- web personalization and identity management
- enterprise content management systems
- component-driven content architecture / data modeling
- media / information distribution systems; content syndication
- large-scale e-commerce sites
- full development life cycle project involvement
Skill Sets (required / desirable =96 we=92re looking at the whole =
package,
not a laundry list of skills)
- information architecture deliverables (wire frames, site maps,
schematic diagrams)
- project management (you will be responsible for managing your own
time and may be a team leader)
- data analysis / information modeling (data dictionaries, meta-
modeling, content componentization)
- application prototyping (photoshop mock-ups, user flow diagrams, etc.)
- business requirements analysis
- use case analysis
- UML
- writing (navigation labels, header labels, etc. as well as voluminous
internal communications and instructional copy)
- testing: usability and user acceptance / QA
- designing for usability, accessibility, global cultures
- standards / guidelines / requirements development and
institutionalization
Relevant software / tools / technologies
- Visio / Photoshop / Illustrator
- MS Office / Project
- Lotus apps
- WebSphere Portal Server
- Interwoven
