It's funny how some topics really get the list going. This same hosting
topic has come up on other lists I'm on and it always seems to be a hot one.
The list has been quiet lately but I know from our new subscriptions that we
have more members than every before in our history (a little over 2 years
now!!). It's nice to no matter the economy we're all still here and growing
and trying to help each other do our jobs better. When I started WPO I
didn't even know if anyone else felt the need to have a organized
professional group for our discipline but I was relieved to find out that
there was interest and even more relieved to when the first questions and
answers and shared expereiences started flying across the list.
Sometimes it's hard to know where everybody is chiming in from but I know
from your off list msg's that we WPO members hail from countries all over
the world (yes it's realy true) and there are tons of issues that come up
all the time off list.
For those of you that have told me that you are shy about posting to the
list or those of you who are too busy to post to the list or even off list
it's ok to just lurk. It's also ok to post a lot (I have to justify myself
sorry :-) ). I just hope you all feel comfortable enough when an issue
arises you will consider posting it to the list because if you are
experiencing the issue it's likely others are too and we can all benefit
from sharing our experiences, frustartions, and questions.
The only bad questions is the one not asked!
Best,
