[webproducers] Re: is the upturn real?

speaking domestically (US of A), i've heard rumors of things
getting better for some companies, hence, more recruiter
activity and job postings.

on the other hand, some of the bigger ad agencies have
completely eliminated their interactive departments so that
doesn't necessarily bode well.

salaries as a whole, are still lower than the boom period so
it's hard to say either way.

also, not all of us work for an i-agency or web shop. i work for
a not-for-profit trade group in the cable tv industry. and while
competitive, my industry is still growing so i guess the effects
of the co-called upturn will vary.
