self-motivated Production Manager to join a fun, energetic, ethnic, and

Job Description: The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of the
production process. This includes making sure the team is working at the
optimal level, workflows have been clearly identified and negotiating with the
Team Leads and Product Manager. Accountable for and understands every aspect
of a project from the concept creation stage to the launch and maintenance of
the project. This includes having to keep engineering, design and integration
on track and on time with all their tasks. Must be a good communicator and
decision maker, and have the ability effectively manage the project, the
project portfolio and time by proactively setting necessary milestones.
Responsible for understanding and when needed, effectively giving the direction
and vision, for all the features, functionality and design in the project.
This needs to be effectively accomplished by taking into account all
stakeholders' inputs. Review all deliverables by engineers and designers and
offer solutions if needed.
The Production Manager has to function well in a team environment. Responsible
for identifying and solving challenges, problems and inefficiencies within the
team and within the development process. When working with a Team Leader, the
Production Manager has to diligently manage the Team Leader's expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a.. Project Creation and Strategy
- Scope and evaluate projects based on objectives set by the Team Leader
- Establishing and communicating the vision and direction of a project
- Assisting the Team Leader with strategies and objectives
- Recommending new projects and/or changes and improvements to existing
projects
a.. Project Management
- Direct product development efforts on a project basis using quality
tools to deliver value added services to customers.
- Keeping track of the development of the project
- Setting firm and realistic deadlines for each phase of the project
- Coordinating the design and engineering resources for the project
- Maintains all documentation throughout a project
- Understands and follows all standard processes and procedures
a.. Project Deployment, Review and Support
- Coordinating a project deployment strategy with various teams.
- Reviewing the performance of the project based on the project vision
and objectives
- Maintaining a running list of requirements for future releases
· Portfolio Management
- Managing a portfolio of projects and tasks that will produce the
optimum return for the team
- Identifying overall gains and losses for the team based on the work
in aggregate
- Creating workflows and action plans for executing and managing all
production work
- Working and negotiating with the Team Lead and Product Manager on the
list of priorities and tasks that need to be completed
- Understanding the financial and business impact of all projects and
tasks
· Team Management
- Leader and direct supervisor for cross-functional teams
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring of team members
- Reviewing and evaluating all team members
- Making personnel recommendations to Team Leads
- Continuously evaluating and improving the team's productivity
a.. Team Work
- Effectively communicating with everyone on the team so that they are
motivated and understand exactly what needs to get done
- Help negotiate solutions with team members whenever there are
conflicts with priorities and tasks
- Help set team goals and objectives
a.. Accountability and Responsibility
- Being accountable and responsible for every aspect of a project and
everyone within the production team
- When inefficiencies with processes are identified, helping to
recommend and implement solutions
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a.. Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
a.. Experience, Competencies and Education
· BA/BS Degree
· Minimum 5-7 years project management and/or production experience
· Minimum 2-3 years demonstrated management experience to lead a team
from multiple functional disciplines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Self-motivator
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to create schedules
a.. Language Skills
· Basic knowledge of standard Web tools such as HTML, Javascript,
database utilization and other Web software and languages
· A knowledge of general Web do's and don'ts
