Drupal has been gaining a lot of traction recently as a CMS, which I
consider a good thing.
With an open source app, the more interest and the more people
working on it as a community, the better it will be.
I think it's a step more robust than Wordpress.
They are both great; it depends upon the project on what the needs are.

I really wish I hadn't missed this, there were some smart folks there:

Any other Drupal users or soon-to-be users? Any sites built in Drupal
you would like to share?
I talked to the guy who build the site to an event I went to here in
Portland. The whole site was built in Drupal, he said it was quick to
install, he didn't do any tweaks at all, and he took on a standard
packaged skin. The backend interface seems simple.
