you can do that with the Mail Merge functionality in Word...

(unplug your computer from the network and do a dry run)

Does anyone have any experience with sending mail merged bulk e-mail?
Essentially for this particular client it would be personalized e-mail
with an attachment to 140 names. Personalization would be just for the
names.
