Internet Developer

Reports to Business Production Manager

Builds, programs and maintains marketing related subscription offer areas
over the Time Inc. network.  Candidate is expected to organize tasks and
deliver quickly and efficiently, often under tight deadlines.  Candidate
should also enjoy learning new technologies and will be expected to
continually increase his/her knowledge base.

Responsibilities:

********Producing, maintaining and updating Consumer Marketing content and
areas for all the titles
********Creating interactive games and quizzes tailored to the client's
needs.
********Investigating and mastering new technology to use for marketing
purposes.
********Production work must be optimized to streamline all pages for fast
download and easy access.
********Qualifications: Candidate should have at least a bachelor's degree,
though a Master's or higher is preferred. Skills speak for themselves,
experience is considered but not requisite. Good communications skills are
essential. Candidate will also be expected to learn GDML (a proprietary
programming language), as well as other technologies they don't currently
know.


Required Skills:

********Flawless HTML (NO WYSIWYGS)
********Excellent JavaScript skills 
********DHTML.
********Comfortable in a UNIX environment (we can train)
********Adobe Photoshop
********Some programming experience preferably with PERL
********Strong communication
********Problem solving


Strong Pluses:

********Some experience with Databases
********JSP
********Vignette's StoryServer
********Macromedia Director
********Macromedia Flash.
********Excellent PERL
********JAVA
