hi everyone & happy new year,
i have a difficult client that i can't afford to turn away. he wants to
make changes to his web site. no problem. however, my experience with him
in the past is that he likes to change requirements. this is not a problem
either. the issue is this: he now wants a fixed price contract. i fear
that i'll get screwed if i don't manage requirements changes well. my
understanding is that there are standard ways to handle requirements
changes in fixed price contract. i don't have any experience with this
sort of thing and i need guidance.
how can i handle requirements changes on the contract level? how does this
work in practice? does anyone have boilerplate contract language that i
can use (i can't afford a lawyer right now)?
tia.
