We had a great turnout Saturday for Richmond Audubon Society's inaugural 
field trip to James River National Wildlife Refuge, led by Julie 
Kacmarcik and Caroline Coe. Nineteen birders walked the woods on a 
beautiful late autumn day, and were treated to great looks at Hermit 
Thrushes, Bald Eagles and Red Headed Woodpeckers, along with many of the 
usual suspects. We also got a nice unobstructed view of a Bald Eagle 
nest just off the main trail. The complete trip list appears below.
