I spent a few days on the Eastern Shore at the end of November, and used the
Comfort Inn at Onley (near Onancock). It's currently showing rates of
$54/night with AAA discount. The one downside of it is it's right on Rte. 13
and
somewhat noisy. If you stay there, try to get a room towards the back of the
building. There's a good place to eat in Onancock, it's called Mallards at
the Wharf, and it's a converted historic store.
If you don't want to drive that far, you could try the Best Western in
Exmore. It's a bit more expensive (about $67 with AAA discount), and there is
a
good restaurant called The Trawler right next door. The Best Western Sunset
Beach in Kiptopeke is about the same price but the last time I stayed there I
wasn't impressed.
