[va-richmond-general] Connecticut utility kills parakeets

I found an interesting article at
http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/12/05/killing.parakeets.ap/index.html
about a Canadian utility that takes down parakeet nests and kills the birds
because the nests cause power outages and fires; the power outages in turn
threaten the lives of people on life support.
I say they could remove the nests, but don't kill the birds. Instead, they
should help them find a new home. We humans have created this problem, since
the species is not native to this country.
If the link doesn't work, I can send you the article; I have saved it.
