I went to Henricus this morning with my daughter, Anna.  There was a small
group of 5 scaup that I assumed would be Lessers.  But after looking at them
for a while, and at times fairly close, I am leaning towards Greater Scaup.
The head is rounded, and in good light, there is a green sheen to it.  I did
have one good look at one spreading its wings, and the white was extensive.
Their behavior is somehow different: they stay close together, ignoring the
other species, and were diving constantly and moving rapidly all around the
marsh.

If anyone else gets out there tomorrow or later today, let us know what you
think.  There were also four Pintail plus all the usual ducks.
