Hi all.
   
  Just wanted to let you know that a brief blurb about our vultures aired on 
NBC12 On 10/25.  Another, longer segment, appeared today on ABC8 this morning.  
Unfortunately, both of them were pretty one-sided reports- the reporters never 
even contacted me; it seems as they went directly to Chesterfield Co and 
Dominion.  Nonetheless, two positive points came out of it:
  1) The Chesterfield Co. guy ABC interviewed admitted that the culling has not 
worked so far- that's it's only temporary fix- that the vulture population at 
Dutch Gap returns to previous levels very rapidly after "harvesting", and that 
a long-term solution must be found.
  2) At the very end of the clip, ABC spoke of, then displayed, our public 
demonstration information (where, when, why).

  I was interviewed by the Richmond Times-Dispatch yesterday and was told that 
the article will appear in the paper next week.
