Generally speaking, retailers hire a "hit man" to take out the bird. This
happened at a Food Lion near Mechanicsville after several RAS and PETA
volunteers tried unsuccessfully to capture the bird using a banding net. If
someone could figure out a humane way to capture the bird, they could make a
successful living.
