A beautiful morning paddling Harrison Lake with a small flotilla of birders.
More birds heard then seen but a great morning to be on the water with the
leaves dropping from the trees and the sun breaking through the clouds.
Highlights:
Great Blue Heron
Phoebe
Red-shouldered Hawk
Carolina Wren
Carolina Chickadee
White-breasted Nuthatch
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Belted Kingfisher
Flicker
Downy
Red-Bellied Woodpecker
and the other usual suspects.
*Large amounts of storm damage from Isabel around Harrison Lake. The nature
trail is impassable in spots to the faint of heart.
