We had an excellent turn-out of folks for our demo at Dutch Gap yesterday.
A total of 13 nets were up and were quite active early in the morning before
the heat hit. No exotics but some good looks at birds up close. Here's the
birds that were banded:
Indigo Bunting (3)
Prairie Warbler
Common yellow throat (2)
Catbird
Northern Cardinal (2) ( 1 recap from 2003)
Carolina Chickadee (3)
White-eyed Vireo
Also seen or heard:
Green Heron
Carolina Wren
Black Vulture
Turkey Vulture
Yellow-throated Vireo
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Pileated Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
