[va-richmond-general] Belle Isle and backyard lifer

Belle Isle actually happened this morning, and it was spectacular...the weather
was gorgeous(made even more so considering the last couple of weeks,
meteorologically)but I shall wait for Irene to post the list...Upon arriving
back home(after a disappointing Redskins loss[SEVEN turnovers!! can you believe
it?!])who should I see upon the tray feeder? A female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak,
that's who! A good day. Let's all celebrate the sun for the next few days as
it shines on us unclouded.
By the way, Irene, after extensive research, I would say that the bird that I
just glimpsed leaping into flight from the hilltop trail was either a Flicker,
or a female Kestrel..probably the former
